heh, i was thinking about waiting a little to mention this, but i don't think they'd want me to put off saying it. that's just the type of guys that they were.

rule 42 is still open, but i guess not as much because i'm the only one running it right now. i'm gonna need some help with it. andrew and jonathan did a lot there, and warren did all the electronics, and i can't do all of that. i can do most of the computer stuff, but i need some help with the place. i don't know about pay but i figure we can just share the profits once we work out what else the store needs. i've got some math worked out for it.

there are some people who were also looking to get help with at. i'm willing to train you if you've got a pair, come by rule 42 and sign up for lessons. i'm gonna do my best to help everyone out, but i'm not about to abandon the store. but i'll definitely work something out.

She's been here for a while. I've managed not to see her but how fucking long am I supposed to keep hiding. I won't be able to keep it up. That woman that the baseball idiot is working with has worked out his ring, but how the fuck are the rest of us supposed to keep waiting. I've been thinking about opening up a repair shop, of sorts. I've been working with anything mechanical I can get my hands on since I got here, not to mention there are some pretty good books on the workings of some of the bigger stuff they've got around here that I've found.

I know we've got a couple people who are working on specific things, and I'm pretty good at putting together the appliances, and I'd be willing to work on anything else that's brought my way! I'm sure there are a couple other handy people around here too, so speak up, and maybe we can get something going!

Either way, I'm not thinking anything with a garage, at least at first. House calls, fixing toasters, that kind of thing. Maybe if enough stuff breaks down around here, I can work my way up!

Next Friday, at the park. We're going to play splatterball. For those of you who don't know what that is, it's kinda like water balloons, only with paint, so wear something you don't care about getting ruined. We'll split up into two teams, and at the end of the day the team with the least paint on them wins!

So it's been awfully quiet around here. I mean, aside from random disappearances and the occasional new person. But really that's just a part of everyday life now, isn't it?

I mean, Dante said it earlier it's getting a bit boring around here, but I'm almost worried. Last time it was boring we got zombies.

I had my first non-post-portal pregnancy checkup today.  Oh joy.  Anyway, everything is fine so far.  Apparently, I won't really show until the fourth or fifth month or so because of my build/musculature.  Hooray?  Trimester #2 starts in a few weeks.

The due date is February 2nd.  Yes, the baby might see its shadow and crawl back in for six more weeks.  Groundhog's Day jokes are officially not amusing anymore.

And eight words I've never used before and never thought I would: How am I going to pay for this?  The only employment suggestion I've gotten so far is law enforcement and... there are just so many issues with that I don't even know where to start.

Honestly, I'm not sure what I'm qualified to do.  Not like I ever planned for a career.  Locksmith, maybe (is there even a need?)  Gymnastics/boxing/whip/etc instructor (the pregnancy's an issue.)  Art gallery manager (not that there are any.)  Cat sitter (for all those frequent travelers.)  But I'm sure atypical job history is a common problem here...
